Hi, I’m Margot a postpartum doula with a background in child development, family dynamics, and nearly 15 years of hands-on experience supporting kids and their families. Having seen just how overwhelming postpartum and parenthood can be, I aim to be a steady, supportive team member who helps set families up for success.
My support is a mix of practical and emotional. I trained with BADT and bring a deeply inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to every family I work with. My care is trauma-informed, which means I’m always prioritizing emotional safety, clear communication, and your autonomy.
I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent families, and my background in psychology has helped me understand and support a wide range of individual needs. I’ve also spent time learning about postpartum practices across different cultures, because rest, nourishment, and community look different for everyone, and honoring that truly matters.
And as a queer doula, I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ families. Whether your family is navigating gender-affirming care, unique paths to parenthood, or just want someone who gets it, I’m here to walk alongside you.
ABOUT ME
Services
My services can be divided into three categories: infant, postpartum, and family. Our work together can look like one or a multitude of these offers.
-
Daytime or overnight care of your infant(s). I work with my families to create a plan for feeding schedules and am available as an extra set of eyes, ears, and arms to care for your newborn. I have experience with various types of feeding as well as sleeping styles, so I am equipped to plug into your family's preferred methods.
-
It is important to me that the parent who is physically in postpartum is taken care of physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This can look like processing their birth experience, providing resources on community groups, assisting in making various appointments, and any additional research they may be seeking. You can consider me a "postpartum personal assistant." In providing this care I hope that the postpartum person can rest and have ample time to recover from birth.
-
Services that benefit the family unit and household. Some practical examples are completing laundry, cleaning dishes, grocery shopping, and organizing tasks. In addition, I have expertise in sibling relationships and can offer a guiding hand in welcoming a new child. I also seek to support non-birthing parents or caregivers and aim to empower them in their role as a parent and family members.
